SunnyHomes Warranty Terms
SunnyHomes warrants to the original purchaser that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period stated in the Warranty Card.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any rights or remedies available under New Zealand consumer law.
Where the product is acquired for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 shall not apply to the extent permitted by law, provided that both parties agree to contract out of the Act in writing.
This warranty applies subject to the following conditions:
- Proof of original purchase and installation must be provided when making a claim.
- The warranty period commences from the date of installation.
- Products must be installed in accordance with SunnyHomes installation instructions and applicable building codes.
- Products must be operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- This warranty applies only to products and components supplied by SunnyHomes.
- Any replacement parts supplied under warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period only.
SunnyHomes reserves the right to:
- Inspect, repair, or replace defective products or components
- Require products to be returned for inspection where necessary
- Use suitable equivalent parts where original parts are unavailable
Where products are installed outside standard service areas (including locations more than 40 km from an authorised service centre), reasonable travel and related costs may be charged to the customer.
5.1 External Damage
Damage caused by external forces, including but not limited to:
- Impact, collision, or force applied by persons
- Pulling, tearing, or scratching
- Damage caused by pets or animals
- Punctures, cuts, or abrasions caused by sharp objects
5.2 Misuse and Improper Handling
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Improper maintenance or storage
- Unauthorised modification, repair, relocation, or reinstallation
- Operation outside intended use or product specifications
5.3 Installation Issues
- Incorrect or unauthorised installation
- Issues caused by building structure, substrate, or third-party components
5.4 Environmental Factors
- Corrosion or damage due to coastal, marine, industrial, or harsh environmental conditions
- Natural ageing, weathering, or normal wear and tear
5.5 Third-Party Work
Any service, repair, or alteration carried out by persons not authorised by SunnyHomes
5.6 No Fault Found
Where inspection determines that no manufacturing fault exists, service charges may apply.
Subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
- SunnyHomes shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss or damage.
- SunnyHomes shall not be responsible for damage to buildings, fixtures, or other property arising from factors outside its control.
SunnyHomes will use reasonable efforts to ensure the availability of spare parts and repair services during the stated warranty period.
To make a claim, the customer must:
- Contact SunnyHomes or an authorised service representative
- Provide proof of purchase and installation
- Provide reasonable access for inspection
Customers should retain all relevant documents, including:
- Invoice
- Sales Order & Agreement
- Warranty Card
- SunnyHomes reserves the right to update product designs and specifications without prior notice.
- This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless agreed in writing.

* If mesh replacement is required due to artificial factors, pets’ factors, or the non-product quality factors, the mesh and labour costs will be charged, the call out fee will be charged.
